My brother-in-law’s daughter and their adopted daughter have birthdays that are few days apart, so I always make similar cards for them.

I usually make cards for kids, but I decided to make a card for a teacher I work with. So I chose simple colors, but added dimension to it by embossing with Cuttlebug.
I also bought “happy birthday” die cut. Love it! I have been collecting die cut lately…

One of my students is a goth/metal girl, so I wanted to include skull. Luckily, Cricut Design Space has a cute one!

Handmade birthday card with a cake
I made this for my friend in Japan. Although her birthday was last week, I still have not sent it to her yet. Oh, well. I got a couple of things for her, but feel like I want to put something else in. So I keep postponing it.
I used a ribbon, rhinestone and pre-made flowers to decorate it.
