My father-in-law’s birthday is in Aug and we were having bday dinner last night, so I had to make a card quick.  He loves birds, particularly humming birds, so I wanted to have that on the card.

Love my Cuttlebug…  Embossing adds so much to the design.

Now that I know how to make a box card, I decided to make one for my friend’s wedding we were attending.  Once I made it, I felt like it was missing something, so I kept adding more things…  It took me forever, but I am very happy with the result!

Then, I had to think about a gift…  Since they just bought a house and are moving into the house in a few weeks, I decided to give them something they can use every day.  Not for a special occasion.  So I got mugs and etched it with their initials and wedding date.  I LOVE  etching!!!  It is so much fun.  I don’t like things that are too busy, so I love the settleness of the etching.  I will be doing a lot more!

Now the final product as a gift!

I had to make 7.5″x7.5″ envelope for the box card, so I looked for a box that can fit 2 mugs and a card, but there was not anything I liked, then I saw this wooden box at Michael’s on sale.  Everything fit perfectly!

My husband’s best friend’s son’s birthday was coming up in a few days, so I had to make something fast!  Not much designing went in…  Just used a template from Design Space and added his name.

Well, I rushed so much, I made a mistake…  This was supposed to be a tri-fold card, but I had to cut off one of the panel since I glued some design on a wrong side…  Lesson learned.

I saw this box card and had to make one for whoever had next birthday, which happened to be my mother-in-law’s husband (my husband’s step dad).

So here it my first attempt to make a box card.   I am pretty happy about it.

OK, I have a birthday party for my dog every year…  Yes, I am one of those crazy dog people.

Now that I have Cricut, I had to make some decorations, of course.  A banner, rosettes, favors…  So much fun!

And some photos from the party.  We had 13 dogs total!  Love it!

I made a dog cake from grass fed ground beef, ground turkey, blueberries, carrots and peas.  They loved it!

It was so hot, so we also set up a kiddy pool.  Until next year…

Before I bought Cricut, I bought a bunch of 3D stickers.  But now, I don’t need them…  A friend of mine saw a cake sticker and she wanted it on a birthday card I was going to make.  So I didn’t make the cake, although I probably could with Cricut.  I am really happy with the Cuttlebug!  Love embossing.  It adds so much without getting too busy.

When I saw the design, I liked it a lot, but was not sure if I can cut it successfully, but it did!  There was another intricate design I totally failed…  The blade caught paper and it was totally messed up.  After that, I changed the setting and was able to cut it nicely, though.  Still learning…  I bought the flowers from Michael’s.  That’s what I use most.  Good assortment of flowers.  I could not find what I bought on their site or anywhere, so maybe it has been discontinued. 🙁

一度細かいのをカットして失敗してるので、どうかな。。。と心配だったけど大成功！ちょうど良い設定が何なのか分かるようになればもっとスムーズにいくんだろうな。

Purple is not my favorite color… In fact, I don’t really care for it. So I decided to make a card to use all the purple papers and surprisingly, I liked it!
So I decided to send that to my friend.  And she loved it!

紫ってあんまり好きじゃないから使ってしまおうと思ってカードを作ってみたら。。。以外に気に入った！なので友達に誕生日カードとして送る事に。とっても気に入ってくれました！

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine sent out an email telling a group of people a lady we all knew passed away…  She looked a bit weak and skinny, but I had no idea she had cancer.

So my friend included the lady’s husband’s address just in case we want to send him anything, so I made this card.

I am pretty happy about how it turned out, but I hope I don’t have to make this again anytime soon…
